In need of an artistic blogging name?

Written by master on April 20th, 2012. Posted in Blogging

Question by Bella: In need of an artistic blogging name?
I would like to start a blogging account, but can’t come up with a name to use. I am quite a cynical, pessimistic person who thrives off sarcasm. My blogs will probably be critiquing how other people my age (late teens) act, dress and live in society, such as living on Facebook and caring too much about appearance etc. They may be controversial, but I try to look at each side of the issue.

Any ideas?

Can I use a product’s name when blogging a recipe that imitates that product?

Written by master on January 10th, 2012. Posted in Blogging

Question by Nathan J: Can I use a product’s name when blogging a recipe that imitates that product?
I have some recipes that imitate some vegetarian meat products that are sold in the grocery store.
Can I use the product that I am imitating’s name when I post it online?
I find that people put recipes online such as “Pizza Hut Imitation Crust Recipe” but I cannot find out online if it is legal.
Please provide a link to back up what you say.

I don’t have a link for you, but I can guarantee you won’t have any trouble. As long as you make it clear that you are not affiliated with that brand. I’ve seen cologne products sell themselves (on the label) like this: “Jean Philippe Paris, our version of Angel for men by Thierry Mugler.”

I need a name for our Business, and a slogan

Written by master on November 22nd, 2011. Posted in Linkedin

Question by mjefferson96: I need a name for our Business, and a slogan
The business is a website and professional consulting services for the food and beverage industry. The website is a portal type that is intended to connect everyone from suppliers (wine growers, farmer, pasta maker etc) to on trade distributors and customers such like restaurants, hotels, etc.

Our consultants are available to map and reengineering business process, create a technological infrastructure for the information exchange, create a legal infrastructure for the sale process, implement other services such like CRM or accounting.

The name should reflect the integratration the Food & Beverage Supply chain process. I’ve been coming up with names like:
Ambrosia Consulting
Grape Vine Solutions
Savory Technical Services
Grape Vine Network Consulting
Ambrosia Architecture Services
Culinary Matrix Solutions
Culinary Market Integration
Culinary Interlink Management
Linkedin Culinary Management
Cullinary Connections Interlink

But I am being told that “Culinary Interlink Market” and the other names sound nice but are probably too long (not immediate and difficult to remeber) it would be better to put all in a word…. may be missing some calrity something like: Culinarylink
My other concern now is to incorporate the concept of wine food and beverage not just food.
The word culinary is more related to food.

So Perhaps Epicure is a good word then, it is not limited to food and has good resonance among a particular class of aficionado of food and drink. Let me try out a few more on you:

Epicure Colaboration = Epicurlaboration (may be difficult to remember)

Interlinked Epicures

Epilink

Integrated Epicurean

Integrated Vines

Epicurean Harvest

I cant seem to find a word that is inclusive of everyone from growers to suppliers and buyers. Epicurean is about as close as I can get. Another thing that comes to mind is that much can be inferred with the logo that will accompany the company name. So the name may not need to bear the entire burden of conveying the depth of the services offered.

Your thoughts? help?

Does Google have the words search engine in its name?

No – its not necessary for the purpose of your organization to be present within the name. It may hint at it, but it doesn’t have to specifically lay it out.

That being said, I liked Grape Vine Solutions.

You can usually find the name of the CEO on the organization web site.

Hoovers Online also provides this information but you may have to subscribe to get this part of the company profile.

State Island Linkedin Training: Should you use your real name or company name when sign up to social networking sites?

Written by master on October 21st, 2011. Posted in Linkedin

Question by Share Your Fitness: Should you use your real name or company name when sign up to social networking sites?
I would be signing up for marketing my business so it would make sense to use business name. However, on some sites I see names of users who have VERY popular websites BUT they choose to use there real name instead of companies name. I have seen this on sites such as facebook and linkedin. What are you thoughts. Name, company name or should I have to profiles one with name and another with company name. (I think on facebook & linkedin you can not make multiple profiles…).

thanks

Best answer:

Answer by artificially sweet
For the sole purpose for marketing your company I think you should use the company name and maybe somewhere in the profile mention your name?

I don’t know about Facebook though, so blah. lol
